Taylor D'Acquisto, senior at Antioch Community High School (ACHS) in Antioch, Ill., has played an active role in not one, but two yearbook staffs throughout her high school career.
D’Acquisto attended Grant Community High School (GCHS) for the first two and a half years of her high school career, until February of her junior year, when she transferred to ACHS.
Currently, D’Acquisto is a team member on the yearbook staff at ACHS, after holding the position of Sports Manager on the GCHS staff.
Some of D’Acquisto’s responsibilities throughout her yearbook staff career have included enforcing deadlines, maintaining staff productivity and editing pages.
D’Acquisto enjoys the independence she is afforded in yearbook, and said that when it comes to journalism, what she loves most is “writing stories and interacting with people.”
KEMPA Summer Journalism Workshop will be D’Acquisto’s first journalism workshop, and she hopes to learn some editing tips, as well as gain some insight into the field of journalism.
D’Acquisto is undecided about her college plans, but hopes the KEMPA workshop will help her explore her interests in journalism.
